RCI Glenn Gould Recording - 1957

Picture 1 of 5

Canadian pianist Glenn Gould was among many, many musicians and singers recorded by the Music Transcription Service of RCI (originally known as CBC IS or CBC International Service). The Canadian Encyclopedia points out that: “Before 1945 very little music by Canadian composers existed on disc, and the number of Canadian performers represented on disc, while much more considerable, was not representative. For this reason CBC IS, shortly after its creation in 1945 as 'the voice of Canada abroad' with a mandate, among others, to be 'the continuing reflection abroad of Canadian culture,' resolved to correct this deficiency while meeting its own needs.” See http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/index.cfm?PgNm=TCE&Params=U1ARTU0000636

I’m a fan of Glenn Gould and have never seen this picture before, it’s almost like a breath of fresh air.
There is no mention of the Quartet!, anyone know who they are?
