If you’ve forgotten, or just need an extra boost to remember, how amazing radio can be, do not miss out on this wonderful radio documentary by Garth Mullins that was broadcast on February 13, 2014, World Radio Day, by Canada’s national public radio broadcaster, CBC.

In 54 very radiophonic minutes Mullins takes us on an ride – a rediscovery of something very basic, the death of radio has been announced many times, by television, by the Internet. But guess what, it’s still strong, and some suggest it’s in a resurgence.

As Mullins describes on his website “It’s a quasi-autobiographical rumination on the future of radio; a pre-Valentines’ love letter to the medium; a nerd’s lament for what is passing and a look ahead to the radio renaissance that is blossoming. This is my personal experience of radio.
